Job Summary

We are seeking skilled and compassionate Staff Nurses for Radiotherapy (RT) and Brachytherapy units to support oncologists and radiation teams in delivering safe, precise, and patient-centric cancer care. The role involves patient preparation, clinical assistance, monitoring, and coordination throughout radiation treatment procedures.


Key Responsibilities

Radiotherapy (RT) Nursing:

  • Prepare patients for radiotherapy sessions and ensure correct positioning.

  • Assist radiation oncologists and technologists during treatment procedures.

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after RT sessions for any discomfort or reactions.

  • Educate patients and caregivers about RT procedures, precautions, and side-effect management.


Brachytherapy Nursing:

  • Assist doctors during brachytherapy procedures, including patient preparation and post-procedure care.

  • Monitor vitals and patient condition before and after brachytherapy.

  • Maintain sterility, radiation safety, and infection control protocols.

  • Provide post-procedure care instructions and emotional support to patients.


Documentation & Safety:

  • Maintain accurate nursing records, treatment charts, and consent documentation.

  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and hospital SOPs strictly.

  • Coordinate with wards, OT, anesthesia, and recovery units as required.

  • Ensure patient dignity, comfort, and confidentiality at all times.


Qualifications & Experience
  • GNM / B.Sc Nursing with valid nursing council registration.

  • 1–3 years of experience in Radiotherapy / Oncology nursing preferred.

  • Freshers with oncology training or strong interest in RT may be considered.


Skills & Competencies
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and oncology nursing practices.

  • Strong patient care and observation skills.

  • Ability to work calmly in high-precision treatment environments.

  • Good communication and coordination skills.

  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
